Profile Information

How often do you run?
A few times a week
Where do you run?
Outdoors, on the track, on the treadmill.. and sometimes up and down the stairs in my office :)

My favourite place is cubbon park :) on sunday mornings
Why do you run?
I started running when I lived in Hong Kong - to feel fitter and healthier. Over time I became addicted. Its now a passion. I get withdrawal symptoms when I cant run :)
Its my " me time" . Its my time away from my work and personal responsibilities.
It enhances my work life and my personal life. It makes me sharp and focussed. My friends tell me that it gives me an " competitive edge" at work .
I especially encourage all my women friends to run - Its gives you a feel good factor.. There is nothing like an endorphin rush. As a woman you have so many demands on your time. You will be able to give a lot more back to everyone around you if you feel good about yourself !
What is the longest distance you have ever run?
I have done several half marathons. Thats " my distance". But i have also run the full marathon,
What is your personal best timing? (please mention the distance and time)
I have achieved a string of PBs in 2011. I have been very focussed about my training runs, cross training and nutrition. This helped me achieve a good PB in 2011.

10 km 50 min

Half marathon
Hyderabad 1.58 1st my category, 4th in open
Delhi 1.49 2nd in my category- won the silver prize
KTM- 2 hours - 2nd in Open category
Mid night marathon- 1st indian woman to finish the half 1.51
Mumbai- SCMM 1.47 1st prize Gold in my category

Now hungry to go back for more in 2012 :)

You are a great source of inspiration to the new generation of corporate runners. Your timings in the half marathon are commendable. Your commitment is an eye opener for every runner.
