Cubbon Park Irregulars

For all the people who think that Cubbon Park is the best place to run in Bangalore. Also, we think Queen's Park (inside CP) has its own quaint charm.

Hi Siddharth,
Thank you for wirting in.
It is not possible to give your advice or to tell whether you'll finish the Bombay Full in under 4hrs. 30mins. Without Knowing exact;ly what you're doing, your workouts and time details. Only with this information, can I instruct, coach, guide you in trying to achieve your goal.
From your Profile, I see you've done a longest distance of 50K and your 10K time is 52min. as best. But when where these done? And even these are not enough.
If you do need to write a detailed reply, you may kindly do so on my direct mail : ponchodr123@gmail.com. Many runners all over India write in to me, so you may need to wait some time for my reply.
Certainly hope you are doing well on the running front.
Regards,
Giles

Hi Siddharth,
Didn't know Kaushal was Goan just like you. Are you both Christians too? I don't suppose you'll are.
Hey, Siddharth, you seem to be good at everthing - running, trekking, swimming, cycling.
In my case, I can swim -- like a stone.

Hi Siddharth,
Did you run today?? Thanks or the learned man line.
Oh, so you're friends with Kaushal. Good fellow he is, and pretty good runner.
I believe he'll be coming to Mumbai for the Mumbai Marathon (in Jan 2010).

What about you - how far are you into running??

Hi Siddharth,
No probs. and no need to say sorry for all the jargon. At least I've learnt something.
Suddenly put your photo on the site ehh.
Keep in touch - for the simple reason that you're quite a learned man.

Hi Siddarth,
Various people from the Same field will give you Various answers.
They say "too many cooks spoil the broth".
Nevertheless, as you said, its good to ask the experienced.

Hi Siddarth,
No don't try to consciously try to land on the front ball of your foot. Just run your natural way. But what you can do is "cushion in" your shoes at the heel ends. You can use soft rubber (cut up cycle tubes), sponge. These things are cheap.
You want to go a little higher in cost - use "silicon soles" to insert into your shoes.
You wanna go even higher in cost - buy the Asics Nimbus 9 shoes (cost 6-7K); or Asics Cumulus 10 (cost 7K appox.)
But Siddarth, I'm prone to answering questions and queries in detail here on this RFL site. I like to keep a low profile and interact with people personally. A lot of people think me as some sort of "big boss" on information in running - which, honestly, I'm not.
