Possibly the worst day in the entire calendar to suggest a training run, but bound by Bandra-NCPA tradition of first-Sunday-of-the-month, we're still going ahead with New Year's Day. Another way to…Continue

The cynics are calling it hysteria; the believers are calling it the second struggle for freedom. By the hour, by the minute, support for the truest of true patriots, Anna Hazare, and his fight…Continue

yes in Bandra so far, from Juhu to the Taj close to the Sea Link and back, usually.
I'm looking for 5k or 10k races. Are there any? Could you let me know when such event is organised in the city? Thanks
Nico
Milton..count me in for the 1st anniv run of Bandra - NCPA. I might start from MIG instead...
Also I know that you guys end at NCPA and then go to b'fast at Stadium restaurant. Can I suggest an alternative instead. It is to end the run at PVM Gymkhana opp Cooperage.
The advantages are that there is open ground for stretches. Toilet facilities too. And breakfast can be ordered and had..but we will need numbers.

Me on steroids will still be slower than you on antibiotics. I'm your 2 1/2 hour half marathoner, and perfectly content staying that way. There is a reason why I always bring up the rear at the GORs, and it doesn't have anything to do with the official reason of 'just to make sure nobody gets left behind'.
If I make it, wave to me on the way back home.
Weekdays, I get up MUCH earlier, and don't have time for a cup of tea till MUCH later. So paradoxical though it may sound, being able to do nothing after waking up is a luxury.
Good to know you were able to go for the run after all. Will definitely join you guys at least for a part of the run in July.
But awesome running weather, isn't it? Better even than yesterday, when it was pouring and I couldn't see a think because in all these centuries no engineer has invented a pair of automatic wipers for glasses.
You might need to check with some of the other guys who've accompanied us on our runs, before deciding if a pair or ear muffs is enough. Poor S who came with us yesterday had cheeks a delicious shade of red from the moment he offered a hand to help us up a slippery incline.
Unlike you, Milton, I cannot reel out miles! I can count on one hand the number of times I have run 20 kms or more, and on two hands the number of times I have run 15 kms. Even the thought of running Bandra to NCPA is daunting, and not to be attempted on a whim! July is good enough for me.
One of these days, we'll do a GOR in Bandra at Twilight, and ask you very politely if you would be our guide. No heels, no cross dressing, nothing. BUT, think before you agree, because you need to be a very strong man to handle us as a group.
Ram has very rashly promised he will run with me, so I'll join you for the July run.
We did the IIT so called Run today- three hours of non stop chatter in the pouring rain. I'm pretty sure your Mumbai virus is soon going to take up residence in me. Take care, and hope you recover soon enough to do the run tomorrow.
Thanks, Milton. If I know anything about babies that young, she would be happier running in the evening/ night. I've passed on your number to her- Els is her name and her profile says she's Belgian.
You are kidding about me joining on the Bandra-NCPA runs, aren't you? If I start from Haji Ali around the time you guys start from Bandra, I might just limp into Stadium restaurant around the time you are polishing off the last muska chai.
Milton, thanks for the reply... is Giles Drego part of your group or if you can tell name of his group, i will connect with him
