Actually in my case it took around 4 weeks to come out of the pain .Even till 5th week I used to apply ice. During my injury, my manager sanctioned my leave and I took complete bed rest for 8 days which helped me a lot. You should at least try to minimize the walking; I was not running for about 6 weeks during those days .After that I started running gradually. U can call me on 9833178708 any time.
Take care man.

Sameer
I use Schwinn Sporterra. I have been doing most of runs in Mini forest lately.

Gone through your Discussion and feel very sad about your Knee Injury. Last year, I also gone through same problem (The reason was, doubling the mileage in very short period which was really strenuous on knees.) Consult Your Ortho and Physio, If MRI is needed then go for it. Take complete Bed rest , keep applying ice on the injured point ( At least for 20 to 30 mins. constantly on the injured point ) and after about 15 mins apply Volini Gel or any pain reliever Gel on it ( Don't Massage ) ,This process has to be repeated for at least for 3 to 4 times a day .Use knee cap . Try to avoid walking as well. Believe me Bed Rest is the only option for faster Recovery. Don't Worry, You will come out of the injury very soon .We all pray to God for your Fast Recovery and you will be on track very soon. All The Best and Get Well Soon.

Thanks for the compliments. I am happy you enjoyed the posts on legendary runners. I will shortly post on an extract of an interesting book on how elites train - painfully!.
I won't be around for sunfeast but I hope we can meet at some of the races that take place from August onwards.
