With Jayanagar Jaguars while in Bangalore and when in Mysore I run near the Chamundi Hills, Kukkarahalli Kere or Manasa Gangotri.
Why do you run?
I love it

What is your personal best timing? (please mention the distance and time)
42.195 kms, 4hrs 12mins 29 secs at the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2012.

Just practicing in GYM in office, that too threadmile, max i could run 3 kms at one stretch.. i too will be thinking to join you guys in weekends, but i ll be sleeping like kumbakarna ;) HOw about yours.. and what time you are planned to complete

Good to hear from you... Re: your question abt a full marathon training, I'd say the time is NOW! If you've run a half-marathon, that's enough experience to start training for a full. You can pick any 16-week program and be ready in 4 months - maybe to use up your 6 months, you can work on a couple of months of base mileage building, running till about 35-40 kms a week. As long as you stick to a good training plan (Hal Higdon Novice 1 or 2, for example), you'll do very well.

Just one word of caution: you can have a time goal for your first marathon, but don't be its slave... Run it for the experience (and believe me, it's some experience!) and you can have bigger & better goals starting the second and on!
