Veera liked Sharada Venkataraman's discussion Starting & finishing points for Sunfeast 10kDear Madam,
Sorry to hear the sad demise of your father. I pray the almighty that his soul should rest in peace. It is not in our hands.we should worry only, what is in our hands,i.e the competition ahead.Just forget evrything for a moment and concentrate on ur competiton. I know it is difficult, but just remember of Tendulkar, when he also lost his father like you. He has to come back from England, perform the last rites, go back to England and score a century in the next test. So you can also do it like him. You are a long distance runner. Who are mentally strong .I have the confidence in you thar you can do your best. Just remember, you have come a long way, after putting in all the hardwork for this competition.Don't surrender yourself without a fight
Tips: Follow the runner who is running at your pace form behind,in that way you are not running against the wind, which will save some energy. If you have some target time in your mind, calculate the pace per KM and make a note in your palms and stick to it by cross checking in the race.Nobody is allowed inside the competition arena, except the officials and the competitors. So you are on your own. Dont go very fast in the begining. At the finish ensure, that you r not saving any energy . Go allout in the last lap. Hydrate yourself for the next three days and rest the last two days with only warm ups and strides. Try to practise at your event times. Reeth is reaching tonight .Her event is on 7th n 9th.Long and triple jump.Remember, taking part and doing your best is more important than winning. Go for it. ALL THE BEST
with warm Regards,
