Delhi - Wagah Run

Why do you run?
Running is my first love and understands me like no one else does.
What is the longest distance you have ever run?
106 km during unofficial attempt at 24 hr run

100.6 km in 11 hr 25 min 2007 ultra
but someone says should only be doing that distance if its in competitive time. So watch out for this space :)
And RFL doesn't recognise it. They are like my younger son. He doesn't seem to understand that 10 comes after 9, RFL has the same problem with 99, 100

218 km in 5 consecutive days (ran only 4 days)

Half marathon: 1hr 18 min
Marathon: 2hr 38 min
100 km: 11hr 25 min

I had  written to you earlier I run fairly regularly though I suffer from joint pains & hypothyroid,my doctors have told me that I can run & this wont harm me.

I would like to consult you if you ever visit Mumbai or on your reference any other doctor who practises sports medicine.

Thanks for your post on our group (RRR....RMR) comment wall regarding the Leh marathon. Am sure your efforts in organising the event will be successful.
I also believe you will be organising an ultra at Leh the next year.

Hi Dr. Rajat

I came across a review article which is slightly contradictory to what you had mentioned about pre and post exercise stretching. The article says:
"This article provides contradictory evidence to conclusions that have been drawn in previous review articles, which determined that warm-up and/or stretching protocols did not deter injury. The research included here conveys that certain techniques and protocols have shown a positive outcome on deterring injuries. As a result, a warm-up and stretching protocol should be implemented prior to physical activity. The routine should allow the stretching protocol to occur within the 15 minutes immediately prior to the activity in order to receive the most benefit. In addition, current information regarding improvements in flexibility is reviewed."
