Hey there

Great to see more and more female runners here in India!!! To encourage even more women to take up running, we have started RunnerGirlsIndia (RGI), India´s first club for women runners of all shapes, ages, sizes and athletic ability. For more info, please visit www.runnergirlsindia.com. We would love for you to join us!

We have two online communities. One right here on RFL (Go to Groups -> RunnerGirlsIndia, click on Join RunnerGirlsIndia.), the other on google groups at
http://groups.google.com/group/rgl-forum/post?hl=en-GB.

If you are here in Bangalore, you can join us for our fortnightly runs at Cubbon Park. We meet at about 6.30 am and will be there till 8.00 am when we head off to breakfast somewhere.

Hope to welcome you to RGI soon.

Happy Running!

Hi Neha,
Drinking cold milk and giving a gap of 45 mins. is absolutely fine. Don't worry, go right ahead and add that banana to the cold milk as well - you'll be fine before your run. Don't have anything more than this though.

However, if you do want a better alternative (my opinion), try a bowl of oats porridge or cornflakes with milk and diced banand (you can omit the banana and add apple instead).

If I may ask, why don't you slowly build my mileage?

Hi Neha,
You doing great, only, if you're going to be competitive, you must jack up the mileage. The Mumbai Marathon is coming up in Jan. 2010. Have answered your query under Mr. Akshay Kotenkar's comments.
