 SCMM2016Chirag’s Christmas vacations began on the 18th December- one month before the SCMM2016.These are the days when my Marathon training gets at its peak till the year end, and then tapers gradually.During these days, there is no morning rush to get ready for the school.  I get a chance to run my weekly long runs early in the morning during these days. 39th Milo marathon at Manila Philippines

We plan a week long holiday trip overseas each year. Since the year I began running, I have started selecting the places where there is some sort of running races. I ran in Shanghai one year. Last year, I did the Mauritius Marathon 42.195k race. Climbed the Great Wall of China one year and also climbed the Vitosha Mountain on the outskirts of Sofia Bulgaria. It was a great experience each time.

After the near 4 hour performance at Mumbai marathon in January 2014, I couldn't stop thinking about timing and performance.

With the limited time and resources of training, I was aiming for BQ (Boston Qualifying) time.

Usual work, home and life balancing act went on till the end of January.  BQ in my head couldn’t come off..How many more marathons do I have to do to get a BQ? And I have heard that we can’t run more…

 SCMM 2014- my second full distance race

A week before a race, I had got a request from a friend (FB Mumbai marathon) asking whether we can go together as our goals (sub4 hours) were same. She (Sandra) had run several full marathons in Munich, Jerusalem, and Berlin. Her best time was 3:36 Hrs at midnight Munich marathon. I was delighted with the thought and we chatted on line about the pace etc.

My first marathon- full distance SCMM2013

As decided on the finish line of the SCMM 2012 half marathon last year, I registered for the full distance this year.

TRAINING: The very first full marathon-

I had heard from lots of marathoners, about the dedication to training required, and consistency in logging miles, never missing the long run losing weight during training etc.

Giving time to training was a big question being a homemaker and a class representative…

Are you interested in participating for Enduro, I am looking for team members! Your timings of a half-marathon in close to 2 hrs would set the trail blazing :)

I am looking for two athletes (one needs to be a female athlete) to team up with for Enduro, the adventure race near Pune on 25-26 Feb. I do distance running (my marathon timing: 4hrs, 10 min) and 100 km+ cycling in a day.  I plan to go for the Meida Mix (all participants need to work in media companies) or the Corporate Mix team.
