Day 3, 4 and 5 of running on the treadmill

I've been busy with work but have not put away the runs these past 3 days. I have been running diligently on the treadmill and am quite happy.My stats as per the treadmill machine are as follows:Day Distance Time3 3.6 30.004 3.65 26.455 3.32 23.31Today is day 6. Am taking rest as tomorrow, i plan to have a long run of about 6 ~ 8 km with Kaiwan.See More

Advice required...

Hi,I notice that while into my run I feel more comfortable breathing through my mouth instead of through my nose. However, this makes my mouth dry out pretty fast and so i have to sip water at regular intervals.My question is this: In your experience, is it recommended to breathe through the mouth or through the nose? My nasal passages get clogged up with mucus and i have to blow out the gunk every 10 minutes. By doing this, i mess up my breathing pattern and it takes me a few minutes to settle…See More

Day 3, 4 and 5 of running on the treadmill

I've been busy with work but have not put away the runs these past 3 days. I have been running diligently on the treadmill and am quite happy.
My stats as per the treadmill machine are as follows:

Ahhh.. That light feeling after the run. Feels real good.

Today i was able to run 3.45 kilometers in about 30 minutes - alternating running at 10 kmph with brisk walking at 5.8 kmph. I try and make my runs a bit on the tougher side for myself so that in case of my participation in an event (and i'm "training" for one), i'd be a little better off than what i'd otherwise would have been.

I've been running on and off (more off than on) for the past 2 years. It was when my weight hit 105 kilos that i decided once and for all to get rid of the fat and to do that i took on running.



Of course, the first day of my running was like a life and death situation. I could not run more than 100 metres without getting winded and wondering at the state of my health.
