Bidul said… hi.. i also run 3-4 times a week..till kolkata race i had a schedule.. now running 5 kms.. dont know how to train if not practicing for a race.. then one thing i wanted to ask is about Tiger-Corbett marathon.. its on 7th april at nainital.. do u have any plan to participate.. actually i'm desperate to run a half marathon..!! the main concern for me is the altitude.. nainital is 2000 mts above sea level.. i practice in agartala which is 13 mts above sea level.. would that make huge difference..? what u think..? otherwise timing and everything is suitable for me..
really appreciate ur suggestions..

Prakash G D said… Hi John,
I'm a first year MBA student at IIM Calcutta from Bangalore. Being an avid runner I was part of the Nike Run Club in Bangalore and have also participated in quite a few runs including the Kaveri Trail Marathon 2009 (21 Kms). We at IIM Calcutta are planning to organize a long distance run in Kolkata as a part of our institute's golden jubilee celebrations. Unfortunately we do not have access to any run clubs here in Kolkata due to which we are facing difficulties in carrying forward our plan. I kindly request you to provide us with some contacts here in Kolkata who would be able to provide us with the relevant info.
Thanks
