Bangalore has a very thriving running scene and no wonder there are many options for you to get training from.


Nike Run Club -

An initiative of Nike which has finished 3 years of existence and has trained scores of people now. The training is free and is open throughout the year. Training at NRC involves -

  • Sessions every Saturday
  • Professional coaches at Kanteerava stadium for guidance
  • Warm up exercises at Kanteerava stadium
  • Run inside Cubbon park
  • Limber down after the run

All you need to do is show up on any Saturday to Kanteerava Stadium at 6:00 AM and register.

Runners High -

Runner's High is a new initiative based out of Bangalore, India. They provide coaching and training for runners or walkers, whether novice or advanced. Their programmes are designed, and led by a team of expert coaches, and  sports medicine specialists, who are themselves runners of repute. Click here to know more about them.

Running groups which train together in Bangalore

Apart from getting trained through groups or using online schedules, it is nice to get together with a running group and train together throughout the week.

There are some very active running groups spread out in different parts of Mumbai who are not only runners who run together but also train together. Here are some of the groups you can join for a helpful dose advice on running and motivation.
