  1. The RFL Chapter needs to be a group on RunnersforLife.com.
  2. The RFL Chapter needs to be at least 20 runners strong.
  3. The RFL Chapter needs to be linked to one running location in the city (e.g. Jayanagar Jaguars train at Lal Bagh).
  4. The RFL Chapter needs to conduct at least one run in the location every week (either Saturday or Sunday).
  5. Every Chapter will have a RFL Chapter Leader.
  6. The RFL Chapter Leader is the person who leads the effort and needs to take the onus of conducting the weekly run.

Hi Guys,

@ John - Decide on a running location and think of a name for your group. The name should help people near your area to find you easily. e.g - It is easy to know that Jayanagar Jaguars is a group from Jayanagar. Once you have this go to - http://runnersforlife.com/groups and click on the " + add a group". Type in the decided name and other details to form a group. Once you have done this invite others from your area to join your group. It will be slow in the begining but if you keep your group active and organise local runs it will eventually grow.

@ Pravin - There are no cahpters at the moment. You can start one - e.g Lodhi gardens runners. There are other groups like Delhi runners and Running & Living.

@Vikas - Make sure you keep your group active. Post a calendar of runs in your group. This will let everybody in the group know that something is happening. Take pictures at the run and post it on the group. All these things help in letting others know that something is happening. Mail me if you need any help.

My mail ID is arvind.bharathi@thefullerlife.com. Please write comments here or mail me if you need any help. WE will do our best to support you in creating your own chapters.

Hi Arvind.
We are at Pune and run every Sunday at Pune University. There are only 3-4 of us but we run very regularly and are planning to run the KTM. We have been struggling to get to 20-30 people but have not been successful. There are 23 members in the PUne group but except for us 3-4 people nobody turns up. We are very keen to expand the group so that we can have 20-30 regular people. What do you suggest , how do we promote and get this group to that level.

Thanks Arvind, how do I start a group? I think I would need 20 runners including me before I can have a chapter.

Would be glad to organize something for Siliguri, but I think there are hardly any guys on this forum from my part of the country.
