Hey everyone,

Let's get together at least once a week (either Saturday/Sunday) to run as a group at the No 1 Running Location in Bangalore. Our general meeting place in the Ganesha Temple within the campus.

What makes GKVK so special? One of our GKVK regualars, BB Patil, put it nicely "nice traffic-free roads, less crowded grounds, scenic trails and a pollution free atmosphere". Perfect for runs of any distance.

So what are you waiting for? Feel free to call for a run at any time using the discussion section and/or the "Send Message to Group" option of this group.

Happy GKVK Running!
Sabine

Thank you all for a wonderful morning run today. It was a privilege to meet and run with Pani Sir and others in the group. I came in mentally prepared to have an easy run at 6.15 per km pace. To my luck, today happened to be a training run for the TCS 10k. The run turned out to be much faster and I had to ease off after a 7k run with Pani Sir & Antony:). Had to leave immediately as I had to reach home early. Did 22 kms in the campus and rounded it to 26 when I reached home.

Thanks once again.

Good evening folks - i did a recce of the GKVK Campus today morning. Its 3.75 kms from my place of stay to the Ganesha Temple. I even managed to do a 7.5 km run within the campus. At the end of it all, i bought some mangoes at the entrance of the orchard. Looking forward to Saturday's run :)

Secondly, i intend to run 25 kms to express solidarity with the Greenathon runners who are  currently on their mission New Delhi to Mumbai. Many of the Mumbai based runners are running various distances on May 6th to express moral support for the greenathon runners. The total distance that will be covered in the run from New Delhi to Mumbai is 1500 kms over 30 days. They have done over 700 kms in 12 days. If any of you wants to dedicate your Saturday/Sunday run to the Greenathon Runners - please let me know.

Hello everybody. I live in Navi Mumbai and am visiting my sister in Bangalore from May 1st. I will be in Sahakarnagar for 4-5 days and was very keen to run in GKVK campus. Will you chaps be having the group run on May 5th? I would love to join in. I plan to do 25 kms and can make up the extra kms by running back home. Please do confirm the start time, venue i presume would be the ganesha temple inside.
