I would love to run 42 km there. thanks Ram.

Ram,

Are you talking of the Officical Leh-Ladakh Marathon which is there on 28th July (Source-Infinity Running Site) or this is what Raj was planning to do among group of friends.Either ways ,i am on for 21 Km.

@Unmesh - this is what Raj is planning with his friends.

Ok ,i am in for 50 or 75K

@Mumtaz - tumhara naam toh maine pehle se likh diya hai - tumse kya poonchna - jaha ultra run ho, toh waha mumtaz toh hona hi chahiye!!

I may go for 42 if I can be spared from my job Ram

@Ram : i am in for 100 km :) and beer after run:) cheeers

@Dr.Umesh u can start planning now:) it will be great pleasure to run with u there:)

@Qrieshi: then why not 100 buddy?

I have been there and ran 21 km in 2009. My uncalled for suggestion based on the experience running there at 12,300 ft altitude with depleted oxygen content in the air: Stay put with 21km on this maiden effort, skip marathon and other longer distances. Just my 2 bit, ofcourse the decision is with individual runner and the organisers' final event plans.

Cheers...

Thanx a lot for your very good and sincere advice. Definitely depleted partial pressure of oxygen is an issue and everybody has to be concerned about it. But is it possible to run a full Marathon after 7days of aclimitization. Waiting for your valuable suggetion
