Permalink Reply by Bhasker Desai on February 20, 2012 at 10:41 I have been there and ran 21 km in 2009. My uncalled for suggestion based on the experience running there at 12,300 ft altitude with depleted oxygen content in the air: Stay put with 21km on this maiden effort, skip marathon and other longer distances. Just my 2 bit, ofcourse the decision is with individual runner and the organisers' final event plans.
Cheers...
Thanx a lot for your very good and sincere advice. Definitely depleted partial pressure of oxygen is an issue and everybody has to be concerned about it. But is it possible to run a full Marathon after 7days of aclimitization. Waiting for your valuable suggetion
