Dear NMR's
As you would be aware that 5K Relay race (2nd edition) will be organized here in Navi Mumbai on 2nd Sunday of March.
I would like to know how many of NMR's are interested to Compete in the event or Volunteer for the event or Both.
Visit 5K Relay Race for further information.
This discussion will enable us to; form teams / solve queries / work-out together, for interested runners from Navi Mumbai and showcase our runners :)
So NMR's, start your 'Speed Workout' and keep sprinting :)
PS: Do post your 5K timings here so we all can keep up with you :)

Permalink Reply by Vikas SS on February 3, 2012 at 15:19 He he, you have a way with words... I'm sure you're much faster than that... BTW, since I can only manage a slow 31 mins (that number would also be my age on the date of the event), I'm only planning to volunteer...

Permalink Reply by Srivatsan M K on February 3, 2012 at 17:41 Shalil - we are not encouraging two veterans in the same team simply because a team may not be able to take part if they are short of a veteran. However, barring a couple of Navi Mumbai teams, all our other teams are going to be following Surya's running philosophy :). You wont have a problem finding a matching fit.!!
Vikas - you better run buddy - relaxed pace even.
Permalink Reply by Srivatsan M K on February 3, 2012 at 17:43 Jitu - i followed your footsteps in posting my 5 k timings..better we stop doing so - lets have fun without being aggressive about it :)
Permalink Reply by Vikas SS on February 3, 2012 at 17:58 @Srivatsan... Hmmm yes... hopefully, an easygoing team is willing to take me.. ;) :)
BTW, I'm trying to bring atleast two to three teams from my office.. but finding enough female runners is an issue.. and since Holi is on 8-March, people could have gone away to their hometowns around then....
Permalink Reply by Jitendra on February 3, 2012 at 18:16 @Vikas: Holli????? Kab Hai Holi? ????? :D
@Vatsan: Yeah! we should stop posting our 5k timings, when I see everyone beating my time hehehhehhehe
Well, am keeping time only to see myself up there motivated and to feel the rush :)
Permalink Reply by Surya Mahadev B. on February 3, 2012 at 18:31 @ Shalil, when I began running I used to think I was unique to be running at my age. Was I in for a shock? In Navi Mumbai alone, we have over 15 veterans crying out for teams!
@ Vikas, unless you are joining the SEBI teams, you are more than welcome in one of the Navi Mumbai teams. We could use that 31 min. Psssst..if you could get one female runner and one more youngster, in one swift stealth operation we have a team ready.
(....tone change to Gabbar...)
Aur tera kya hoga re, Jitu :)
