@ All,
I find that there are some very useful running related links which people post on the Wall. However, with passage of time, the link is lost. Hence i suggest we have a Discussion thread where we store the links for easy retrieval when we want. One can post in the Wall and put a copy here as well!

How much water do you really need? Do you know? Well, answer this quiz......and while you are at it, you may like to see question no 10 which provides an answer to the debate a while back on whether salt (sodium) is good for you and the process of hydration.

Muscle building moves for men (and I'd say for women too).
The leg exercises are good for runners if done with an 'endurance format' in mind.....and what is called as 'eccentric contraction focus'.

Here is one more quiz for you:)
Best & Worst Foods for Belly Fat
It is amazing how much Q 12 is asked, of fitness trainers. I guess lay persons intuitively feel that spot reduction of belly fat can be done with crunches and sit-ups.

Permalink Reply by Surya Mahadev B. on April 3, 2012 at 21:10 Courtesy Ashok Someshwar, here is a marathon training guide from the Furman Institute of Running and Scientific Training (FIRST). Based on the principle of " Run less, Run fast", the approach advocates running only three days a week, each run including the long run at a specific pace. It recommends a 16-week FM training program along these lines.
The second article gives interesting tables on likely corelation between 5k, 10k, HM and FM distances. It also gives training guides for HM and FM. If you wish to qualify for the Boston Marathon, read on....
