Hello Group Members,

I run/jog in Lalbagh almost from last 20 years, I started running long distance from March 2011 only, last year I did Sunfeast open 10K, yesterday I did 21K/HM at Mangalore, 29th Jan,2012.

I am happy to meet you, everyday I am there between 6:15am and 7:15am, I start from west gate go around the lake and take behind hill track and come back through main gate to finish...this may approximately 5K.

I did a long run (12 miler) on Sunday morning. Totally enjoyed Lalbagh. Halfway thru the run, I bought 2 tender cocunuts outside the Siddapura gate - poured one into my bottle, drank one, and ate the thin kernel. Way better choice of fuel+electrolytes than Gu+Gatorade.

Between 0630-0645, East Gate at bottom of hillock. One Lalbagh lap everymorning, keeps you feeling good all day. In 17-20 mins. Healthy competition, anybody?

Hi
I am a new member from Mumbai. Some of the runners from Mumbai have decided to petition Procam about inadequate facilities provided during Mumbai Marathon 2010. I have attached a copy of the petition and would request members who are interested to sign the petition in the following link:

3.2K is right based on my running times compared on track, on road and in Lalbagh.

Can some one say.. what is the exact Distance of the Outer Most loop of the Lalbagh.
I have been running here for some years.. at times MY GPS says 2.4 Km.. Some one say it is 2 Miles( 3.2KM) per theirs GPS..) ..My Guess is the Loop of the Lake should me around 1.25KM ( havent measured though). Can some one through more light on this
Thanks and Wish you all a Great year ahead

Ashok,
Pretty much the same route as you mentioned. The one difference I see is that I go around the lake from West gate (north road entrance) to the Siddapura gate, rather than going straight.
Regards,
Manju
