Tried micoach, works well on BB, will try endomodo also.

Thanks all for your help.

Currenlty: Sprained a ligament in the right foot so would be out of action for a few days.

Thanks for starting this thread Prasad, it has become a review thread.

When i tried Enomondo, one feature did not work for me, did it work for you?

"If you have the headset attached, clicking on buttons in that will tell you audio alert"

Prasad get well soon, btw what is the full form of BB ?

Black Berry :)

Thanks

Arif

I don't use headset while running.

I have not see this kind of feature on BB version for audio prompt apart from the sample option in settings.

Hi Prasad,

You already have so many suggestions, but i noticed nobody spoke about cardio trainer. I've been using it for about a month now, and here's what i've observed:

Good:

-audio alerts/updates every min (speed,distance,time )

-automatically plays the songs in your playlists

-dims down music while making audio announcements

-maps your track on google maps

-stores every workout, without any need for you to keep app running till you get home ( i noticed that seems to be a requirement in some previous users posts)

-provides a graph of speed vs distance. (this i find most interesting)

Bad:  (nuansic, but none the less)

-accuracy is a little off (distance measured) when measured over short intervals. however, over all ( say, after a 30 minute run) it gets it right.

-only way to move your data to a PC is through facebook or an account on the developers site (which it seems is only a paid feature)

The GPS signal reception is good at my regular track. But i feel the gps parameter is a feature NOT dependant on the app, but more on the location of your run.

I tried using the app at the go kart track at grips mysore, hoping to capture my best time and track length (while racing, not running :) ), but surprisingly, the app screwed up. it displayed a "gps signal is poor msg" so i'm assuming the signal was bad in that area.

I'll definitely try some of the other apps to get a relative comparison.

Cheers!

Hi Amitesh: Thanks for  the detailed inputs. I have been using micoach for some time and it is fairly accurate and has voice also. The data is automatically synced to the web if you have a data connection on the phone.
