Borivali National Park Run Group
Hi,
Trying to find a group pf runners at the Borivali National Park.....Is there an official ..unofficial group ...that exists?...would love to join. If there is none ( which is verrry unlikely )...lets start one...any help ...interest....??T Do let me know. Thanks.

Neelam, Since you have already joined the RRR RMR group, of which i am also a member, there is no need to have a separate group. In RRR RMR i will be announcing group runs at BNP, which will have other people running also. So, stay tuned.

Neelam,
There are about 100 runners in a group at BNP and you may contact their group leader, Bharat at 9320113243. They are very active and recently organized a republic day function wherein they gave away certificates to each member that ran the mumbai marathon with an embedded photo.

Same here..I run alone ( for a day or 2 ) and than I stop...thats THE problem and hence wanna run in a group...so that I am forced to think twice before i decide not to run that day......when you are in a group...you think about what other people will think if you do not show up for the run...( i.e. lazy cow et al...:D ...) ...
You saw me at the SCMM on 17th January ? Lemme know if you stay near Borivali..am planning to call Bharat who is the group leader for a running group at BNP..( a million thanks to Zico for this info )...we can run together...

saturday 6.30am, hemant, indrajeet and i forgot the other guy's name will be running at normal pace..cause sunday's we prefer Nike Run club under zico and melvin....

Hi neelam,
you are welcome to join us. we are a group of about 4-5 people who run pretty regularly on all sundays in national park.
you could send an e mail at sunildevrani@gmail.com for further details, we will be pleased to have more participation.
by the way we are not the only ones running in national park, there are lot of other guys, i know at least 10 regulars who used to practice before mumbai marathon.
Suggest you go and try to run around 7 AM and you will find lots of people....ours is a good gang though :)

the BNP natl park is closed from the Kanheri forest area perimeter gate from 25th to feb 3rd for animal census.so,you might have to run smaller loops until then. fyi

You are welcome. I am glad you could connect with a group. It seems like you have so many groups to run with:-) This is unlike most other people that neither have a group nor a decent place to run. You guys are blessed with both.
