After being successfully staged in 15 cities across 12 countries and 4 continents,  Oxfam India is very proud to bring the Trailwalker to India. Trailwalker is regarded as the world's greatest team challenge to overcome poverty and injustice. Oxfam India Trailwalker is going to take place near the city of Bangalore, from 10th to 12th of Feb'2012.  

Trailwalker is team challenge event which is liked by corporates all over the world. The format of the event is very simple, four people get together to form a team and undertake the challenge to walk or run 100 kms within 48 hours. Over last 15 years, more than 32,000 teams have participated in Trailwalker raising over US$ 120 million for Oxfam's work. Such huge resources has helped Oxfam create a world of difference in the life of most marginalized and poor, across over 100 countries.

For our first Trailwalker, we have space for just 150 teams to be registered on first come first served basis.The registration fee for each team (4 members per team) is Rs. 12,000. Registration closes on 15th November 2011 as teams would need about 2 months to get themselves trained and ready to participate at the 1st Oxfam Trailwalker. And each team is expected to raise pledges from friends, colleagues and other liked minded people. We at Oxfam India would do everything to help you raise funds and this would not be limited to page which will be exclusively created for you on the Trailwalker website, besides payment gateways for online donations and of course twitter and Facebook. We would be happy to help you with ideas and support you with resource materials for raising the funds for Oxfam India.

The Oxfam India Trailwalker will also see our Global ambassador Rahul Bose in action. Rahul has not only registered his team but has also started training for this grand event.Last but not the least, Oxfam India Trailwalker will not only see participants from India, but we have also registered teams from Hongkong and Australia and few others foreign teams are in process of completing their registrations. We have also tied up with various running and hiking clubs in Bangalore, which would help you and your teammates train for the ultimate challenge.
